If one were to look at the same advertisement, well, maybe not the exact brand, but the same product. Would you, if posed the question, choose an Asian model or a Caucasian one?

Sanitary Napkin Ad
Sanitary pad is a very intimidate lifestyle product. So, it would be more relatable to see Asian model posing for this ad instead of Caucasian model.

Perfume Ad
Perfume can be consider as fashion product and majority of perfume brands are high end fashion brands. The origin of these high-end fashion brands are mostly from the West so naturally, Caucasian models were featured more frequent than Asian models in perfume ads.

Camera Ad
Electronic ads are often very futuristic. So whether is it Caucasian model or Asian model, it all depends on the styling and make-up to make them look futuristic.

Fashion Ad
Caucasian models are always being portrayed as sexy, powerful, confident and passionate whereas Asian models on contrary are usually being portrayed as motherly, docile and subservient. Some possible factors that result this phenomenon are physical proportion, culture, media and post-colonialism.

Our market is afterall relatively Asian; being born in Singapore and exposed to a culture that is very Asian and very Singaporean.
Our eyes are trained in a manner whereby we look at Caucasian models twice before we look at Asian models. But still, it all depends on an individual.
